Finally a new TV series! 12 years since the last episode of Star Trek Enterprise aired. The new series premiering on CBS All Access this fall just released the first trailer for the upcoming show. Starring Sonequa Martin of the Walking Dead. Her character Sasha died last season but all's as the actress is now First Officer Michael Burnham in Star Trek Discovery. Set just 10 years before the events of TOS don't be surprised if it borrows from Fox's Gotham with cameos of a younger Kirk, Scotty, and the rest. A change of pace being for this one is the central focus is on the First Officer instead of the Captain. Let's see...other things from the trailer is a new Federation race I have no idea about but it would seem they channel the mystic power of a Cyclops ability to see their own death. Or as Lieutenant Saru puts it they "sense the coming of death". Not quite as useful as Deanna Troi's empathic magic but a bit more urgent on the whole? The Klingons are looking more brutal than ever. The quick glimpse in the trailer has them looking more like the Orcs from Lord of the Rings. All good...the Trek Universe's resident badasses in the Galaxy needed it.
